Our Circular Hollow Sections are ERW circular steel pipes and tubes manufactured using premium HR steel coils and advanced High Frequency Induction Welding Technology for superior strength and durability.
Tubora also manufactures Square Hollow Sections (SHS) and Rectangular Hollow Sections (RHS) on the same ERW line. Every section follows the same controlled manufacturing process and the same quality and testing standards, and is supplied for construction, infrastructure, solar and industrial applications.

Weights are theoretical, calculated with the IS:1161 formula W = 0.02466 × t × (D − t) kg/m. Multiply by 6 for a standard 6 m length. Manufacturing tolerance: thickness ±5%, weight on individual length ±5%, OD up to 48.3 mm +0.4/−0.8 mm, over 48.3 mm ±1% (min ±0.5 mm). Lighter or heavier thicknesses and lengths up to 12 m can be supplied on request.

Every CHS length is formed from HR coil, welded by high frequency induction and sized to IS:1161 tolerances. Because the section is round, it resists torsion and buckling equally in every direction. That makes CHS the natural choice for columns, posts, trusses and anywhere a member carries load from more than one side.
Where Tubora CHS Pipes Are Used

- Roll forming into a round profile
- High frequency induction welding
- Inside and outside bead trimming
- Cooling and sizing to final dimensions
- Automatic cutting to length
- Hydro testing
- Quality inspection: dimensions, weld, finish and straightness

CHS, SHS or RHS: Which Section Do You Need?
Pick CHS when loads come from several directions or the member works in torsion, such as columns, poles, scaffolding and space frames. Choose Square Hollow Sections (SHS) when you need flat faces for easy welding and cladding with equal strength on both axes. Choose Rectangular Hollow Sections (RHS) for beams, purlins and rafters, where bending runs mainly in one direction. All three follow the same quality process.
